Yesterday I enjoyed an evening at a very special event. Vivienne Westwood and 24Bottles collaborated and created a special edition reusable Gaia bottle to celebrate World Water day and to raise awareness of climate change and the future of the planet. Gaia bottle promotes a zero-waste alternative to the disposable plastic bottle. It is designed with white matt finish and decorated with Vivienne’s hand-drawn graphic and made from revolutionary stainless steel. Gaia bottle is able to insulate hot liquid for up to 12 hours, and cold up to 24 hours.
The guests were invited to Vivienne Westwood’s 44 & 18 Conduit St London boutiques where they enjoyed drinks and delicious canapes as well as special installations by Richard Evans. Later they were invited to Q&A with the London based movement “OneLess”. This movement is trying to reduce the amount of single-use plastic bottles entering the oceans. During the Q&A they introduced the ideas and answered everyone’s questions. The guests who bought the Gaia bottle was able to choose a bespoke engraving by the artist Simone Cervellati.
I visited Vivienne Westwood’s boutiques the first time, so I was not just enjoying the evening but also I checked the new collection and familiarized myself with the iconic designer’s style. It is definitely exceptional and provoking. She continues to raise awareness of environmental and human rights. Her collaboration with 24Bottles is a match made in heaven. 24Bottles – Italian design brand with the mission of unburdening the planet from disposable plastic bottles. They provide a wide range of carefully designed, high quality, easy to carry, sustainable stainless steel bottles for daily hydration on the go.
